Degenerative spondylolisthesis

Abstract

|
Besides its anatomical difference, absence of defect at pars interarticularis, degenerative spondylolisthesis has several characteristics dissimilar to isthmic one.
In handling these patients, orthopedic surgeons are apt to confront with some difficulties such as diagnosis because of its relative rarity and treatment due to elderliness of the patients.
With a case presentation of 62 year old female patient with forward slipping of the 4th lumbar verebra, contributing etiologic factors, suggested treatment methods and some diagnostic aids in differential diagnosis are reviewed with available literatures.
